CONVERSATIONAL PRINTS

Sunday, 1 July 2012

If you know me well and (long) enough, you will know that I never had a thing for prints (I'm okay with classic geometry patterns) but never floral or simply just anything non-geometric. Since 2011, the no. of solid colored / black clothing started thinning in my wardrobe. Now it’s only about 30% of total hanging space. The rest are pretty much me admitting defeat to Spring Summer 2012 trends (brights, pastels, ombre, dip-dye, fantasy prints).

Yesterday I snatched myself a jaw-dropping (prabal gurung-inspired) mirror-effect printed tunic from Zara. The best part? It’s sheer. DIED. (will post photo within this week!)There’s a lot more but due to limited size availability  my wallet was unburned. Also, special thanks to Nigel for getting me a Panther print-inspired top from his recent holiday!

Thank you, Nigel!
How come the sudden love for prints? Well, this is not your average batik print or paisley maxi dress.
We are talking about, CONVERSATIONAL PRINTS…Now let’s take a look at the menu, shall we?

To spread my love for this season’s digital, optical, abstract, painting, conversational, enigmatic, etc prints…here are some styles to blow your mind forever.

Weak for sheer-over-fierce prints look. I LOVE YOU RICCARDO!
